Aquatic plants thrive in a well-balanced environment , including enough light, carbon, micro and macro nutrients. For making your tank spectacular and the plants flourish, you need to use fertilizers regularly. There are two types of fertilizers to choose, i.e. dry fertilizers and liquid fertilizers. It is always smart to use dry fertilizers instead of liquid fertilizers as they will give you more output at less cost.
Dry fertilizers are much cheaper than liquid fertilizers. Liquid fertilizers are manufactured from dry salts too. There is nothing inside the bottle of a liquid fertilizer other than dry fertilizers and water. As an example, in a nitrogen liquid fertilizer bottle, there is just only a tiny bit of Potassium Nitrate mixed with distilled water. So, whenever you buy liquid fertilizer, you are paying extra money for water. Why do you need to pay for water when there is water in your home?
You can have a pound of dry fertilizer and make your own fertilizer by mixing water with it. This means you can make as much as you want and it will be always fresh.
Every aquarium has its own characteristics and needs. You’ll have to dose fertilizer according to the needs of your aquarium. If your aquarium has too much nitrate in water, you can add less Potassium Nitrate in dosage. So, by using dry fertilizers, you can always customize the concentration and provide what your aquarium really  needs!
For example, 250 ml Flourish Nitrogen costs $6 where 1 lbs of Potassium Nitrate cost $5 which will make 3L fertilizer.

Advantages of using dry fertilizers than liquid fertilizers:

=>They are much cheaper than liquid fertilizers
=>You can get a better result with dry fertilizer than liquid fertilizer.
=>You can customize the concentration of salt and provide what your plants really needs.


So, don’t hesitate to use dry fertilizers! it will save you a ton of money !
